Ориана Фалачи е родена на 29 юни 1929 г. във Флоренция. През половинвековната си журналистическа кариера интервюира световни политици като Голда Меир, Ариел Шарон, Индира Ганди, Дън Сяо Пин, Фидел Кастро, аятолах Хомейни, шаха на Иран Пахлави, етиопския император Хайле Селасие… След терористичните атаки над Световния търговски център променя левите си политически убеждения и през 2002 г. пише “Яростта и гордостта”, в която посочва исляма като истински виновник за световния терор. През 2004 г. издава „Силата на разума”, където доразвива тезата за неразривната връзка между ислямската религия и ислямския тероризъм. Умира във Флоренция на 15 септември 2006 г.

Der Band widmet sich dem Verhältnis der benachbarten Disziplinen Judaistik und neutestamentliche Wissenschaft. Er vereint Beiträge zur Klärung von Standorten, Grenzen und Beziehungen in diesem Verhältnis. Der Autorenkreis ist international und interdisziplinär besetzt.
Es werden grundsätzliche Verhältnisbestimmungen aus der Sicht des jeweiligen Faches vorgenommen und anhand des Billerbeck’schen Kommentars »Leistung und Fehlleistung christlicher Judaistik« aufgezeigt. Darüber hinaus finden sich versammelt je drei unterschiedlich ausgerichtete Annäherungen an zwei wichtige und notorisch umstrittene Themen: die historische Auswertung der Quellen über die Pharisäer und die frühchristliche Deutung des Todes Jesu im Kontext jüdischer Tradition und Schriftauslegung.
Eine Reihe von Einzelstudien widmet sich weiteren Fragen im Berührungsbereich von Judaistik und neutestamentlicher Wissenschaft. Der Bogen spannt sich von der halachischen Bewertung der Sabbatheilungen Jesu über das Motiv der »Heiligung des Gottesnamens« in Vaterunser und frührabbinischer Überlieferung, die Rede von der Schöpfung in antik-jüdischen und neutestamentlichen Texten sowie das Verständnis von »Ziel des Gesetzes« in Röm 10,4 bis hin zum Wandel der Horizonte des Matthäusevangeliums vom »Hause Israels« zu »allen Völkern«.
Schließlich werfen Beiträge Schlaglichter auf die Rezeptionsgeschichte der Schriften von Juden und Christen und untersucht an drei Beispielen Polemik und Gegenpolemik in Antike und frühem Mittelalter. Im Kern geht er auf ein Symposium anlässlich des 75. Geburtstags von Berndt Schaller zurück, der in Göttingen Neues Testament und antikes Judentum gelehrt hat.

Архиерейский Собор прославил в лике общецерковных святых святителя Воронежского Антония (Смирницкого), святителя Шанхайского и Сан-Францисского Иоанна (Максимовича), преподобных жен игумению Иулианию и монахиню Евпраксию Московских.

В «Определении Архиерейского Собора Русской Православной Церкви по докладу председателя Синодальной комиссии по канонизации святых митрополита Крутицкого и Коломенского Ювеналия» содержится следующее решение:

«Прославить в лике общецерковных святых и включить в Месяцеслов Русской Православной Церкви имена:

святителя Воронежского Антония (Смирницкого; 1773–1846), установив днем его памяти 20 декабря (2 января);

святителя Шанхайского и Сан-Францисского Иоанна (Максимовича; 1896–1966), установив днем его памяти 19 июня (2 июля);

преподобных жен игумении Иулиании (1300—1393) и монахини Евпраксии (1302 – 1394) Московских, установив днем их памяти 3 (16) мая».

Имена новых святых будут сообщены Предстоятелям братских Поместных Православных Церквей для включения их в святцы. Священному Синоду поручено в межсоборный период рассмотреть и принять решение по вопросу, связанному с прославлением святых Русской Православной Церковью Заграницей, канонизированных в период разделения.

Учебному комитету Архиерейский Собор поручил включить в образовательный процесс в духовных школах изучение жизненного пути и богословского наследия новомучеников и исповедников Российских ХХ века.
